2011 Food Industry visits - Hawke's Bay
2011 is the International Year of Chemistry, and in support of this event, Futureintech Ambassadors in Hawke's Bay have been talking to science students about the application of chemistry in the food industry, and organisations have hosted visits by senior students and their teachers and careers advisers.

Molecular Gastronomy Video Conference
On Wednesday the 6th October, we trialed something experimental for an NZIFST event, a lecture on Molecular Gastronomy was presented by Dr F. Riblet co-director of ‘Le Jardin Expérimental' via Video Conference with Switzerland which was fed simultaneously to six branch locations: Auckland, Hamilton, Hawkes Bay, Palmerston North, Wellington and Christchurch. Nationally, over 150 members attended this event.
