An Asado Barbecue
On the 29th of March approximately 60 members and students gathered for an Asado BBQ at Massey University. On a stunning afternoon, members gathered around the fire to meet one another, catch up and admire the Asado experience. This event was organized as a welcome to new students and as a networking event for existing members.

Molecular Gastronomy Video Conference
On Wednesday the 6th October, we trialed something experimental for an NZIFST event, a lecture on Molecular Gastronomy was presented by Dr F. Riblet co-director of ‘Le Jardin Expérimental' via Video Conference with Switzerland which was fed simultaneously to six branch locations: Auckland, Hamilton, Hawkes Bay, Palmerston North, Wellington and Christchurch. Nationally, over 150 members attended this event.
