Molecular Gastronomy Video Conference
On Wednesday the 6th October, we trialed something experimental for an NZIFST event, a lecture on Molecular Gastronomy was presented by Dr F. Riblet co-director of ‘Le Jardin Expérimental' via Video Conference with Switzerland which was fed simultaneously to six branch locations: Auckland, Hamilton, Hawkes Bay, Palmerston North, Wellington and Christchurch. Nationally, over 150 members attended this event.

“Biochemical Engineering Research”
On 17 August, Waikato NZIFST members and friends were invited to Waikato University to meet research students in the Biochemical Engineering Group and to hear presentations on their specialist areas of research.
