 We have limited oral presentation spaces available so the committee reserves the right to assign your presentation to either category, or to decline it.

 Students - if you are a member of NZIFST you can enter the student POSTER competition - up to $1,000 in prize money!

CLOSING DATES: to be considered for presentation:
ORAL Abstracts must be received by 5 MARCH  
POSTER abstracts must be received by 15 APRIL
Late entries will be considered at the discretion of the committee.

1. The presenting author must be identified, and if the abstract is accepted they must register for the conference.
2. The committee reserves the right to accept an abstract for presentation as an ORAL paper; offer it for presentation as a POSTER; or to decline it.
3. Abstracts will NOT be peer reviewed

Maximum 250 words in the text of your abstract
Bold the presenting author’s name
State briefly, what was done, how it was done, major results, and conclusions
Define all acronyms and abbreviations. Non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided
Do not cite references
Keywords are required; Maximum 5 keywords; Avoid general and plural terms and multiple concepts (avoid, for example, 'and', 'of'); be sparing with abbreviations.
Highlights are recommended, consisting of 3 bullet points (2 x core findings and 1 x indicating industry relevance).

All abstracts should be sent as:
MS Word; Times New Roman; Font size 11; 1.5 line spacing to type; Maximum 250 words.

Maximum allowable size of poster: 1000mm wide x 1200mm long (i.e. portrait format)
Mounting on the poster board is via Velcro – you must supply the “HOOK” portion on the back of your poster, the poster board’s material is the “LOOP”. Fabric posters however may need to use push pins instead.
If you wish to supply printed copies of your poster please attach these to the board in a plastic pocket below the poster.

This competition is restricted to Student Members of NZIFST
The presenting author (a Student Member of NZIFST) must be registered and be present with the poster during the programmed poster sessions.  
Competition winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner.
Monetary prizes and cerificates will be presented to the top three posters.
