Food New Zealand is the official Journal of the New Zealand Institute of Food Science & Technology Inc.
The core content of Food New Zealand is news and features on research, science and technology within the food industry, gathered from all around New Zealand and abroad. This is augmented with coverage of food manufacturing, packaging, processing, food safety, career development and training issues.
NZIFST has its own dedicated section in Food New Zealand, comprising news and information about the organisations' activities, and their merged memberships – Institute Divisions make regular contributions with articles about their areas of interest.
The magazine is published six times a year and is free to members of NZIFST.

Food New Zealand back issues
Food New Zealand was launched in 2003, building on the foundations established by New Zealand Food Journal and DIANZ's publication Dairy Technology, which were discontinued as independent magazines.
Peppermint Press is the publisher of Food New Zealand. The company was set up specifically to publish the journal. Principals are Anne Scott, Editor, and David Pooch, both long time NZIFST members with significant experience in publishing and business between them.
