In 2019, Leigh gave us a very informative talk on FODMAP. Welcome back Leigh – in her coming presentation Leigh will be disrobing changes that happen to the gut microbiome as we age.
Leigh started her own private dietetic practice in 2008 specialising in Nutrition for older adults and later in gastro nutrition. She was involved in several research projects studying the efficacy of the low FODMAP diet for people with irritable bowel syndrome. This sparked her interest in research that led to starting a Masters in dietetics which was upgraded to a PhD. Her topic is the prevalence and dietary management of chronic diarrhoea in older adults.
