CHEMICAL/PROCESS ENGINEER

Job description:

Process design and development:

Scaling up the manufacture of products and processes from the laboratory bench to full production plants. Designing equipment, understanding the reactions taking place, installing control systems, and starting, running and upgrading the processes. Provide technical knowledge and apply engineering principles to improve plant operating performance, minimise waste and delays and ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness of plant operations. Protecting the environment and ensuring safety.

Qualifications and competencies required:


A relevant tertiary qualification (for example): 

Bachelor of Engineering (Food Engineering), 
Bachelor of Technology (Food Technology), 
Bachelor of Science (Honours)
 .

Innovative, good communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving skills, project management skills, and familiarity with relevant systems and software.

Starting salary:
$45,000

Mid career salary:

$75,000
